New--I opened the box to test it and it works well.
New in open box, never used. Instructions for use are not included but are very simple:
Push the stop/eject button which will open the lid. Insert the tape into the rewinder. Press the lid closed and the tape will begin recording. When rewinding is complete, the lid will open automatically or you can eject with the button.
