antique cast iron snow eagle roof guard architectural folk art Pat July 24 1856

Description

Mint pair of antique eagle roof guards. Both have a patent date which appears to read under a magnifying glass: Pat. Jul 24 1856. The last two digits of the year are hard to make out. This is my best guess.
They stand 5" tall and wing spread is 6 1/4". They are beautiful!
